Meet our accomplished instructor, Robert Mazzocca, 2nd Dan in Taekwondo. With over a decade of experience in this martial art, Robert’s journey began in 2008 under the guidance of Master Smith at the Glacé Bay Taekwondo Academy, where he embraced the World Taekwondo Federation (Olympic style) curriculum.
In 2015, Robert achieved an impressive milestone by passing the 1st Dan promotional black belt test. Under the mentorship of Master Mansfield and Grand Master Robert White, he demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication to earn this prestigious rank. It was a testament to his countless hours of training and unwavering commitment to his practice.
Robert’s passion and talent continued to shine as he joined the Nova Scotia Provincial team in 2022. Representing his province, he showcased his skills and competed at the Canadian Nationals in Toronto, ON, where he left a lasting impression with his remarkable performance.
Driven by a thirst for continuous improvement, Robert undertook the 2nd Dan promotional black belt test the same year. Under the expert guidance of Master Devin Balsor and Grand Master Joe Wagner, he once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment and remarkable skills, successfully passing the rigorous examination.
As an instructor, Robert brings knowledge and experience to our Taekwondo classes. His journey has shaped him into a skilled martial artist and ignited his passion for teaching and inspiring others. Robert understands the challenges and rewards of martial arts training and is dedicated to guiding and empowering his students on their unique journey.

Master Wagner
La Forza Taekwondo is honoured to have the esteemed Grand Master Joe Wagner as our guiding force and instructor. With over 40 years of experience in martial arts, his passion and dedication have been instrumental in shaping our school into a center of excellence.
Master Wagner’s journey in martial arts began with Hapkido and Taekwondo, and in 1985, he co-founded Wagner’s Taekwondo alongside his brother, Steve Wagner. It was the beginning of a lifelong commitment to the practice and promotion of Taekwondo. In 1987, Master Wagner became a disciple of Grand Master Oh Jang Yoon, establishing a relationship that continues today.
Throughout his illustrious career, Master Wagner has achieved significant milestones that illustrate his exceptional leadership skills. In 1992, he demonstrated his talent at the Olympic Trials held in Toronto, setting a benchmark for excellence. In 1998, he served as the Head Coach for Team Canada during the World Juniors in Istanbul, Turkey, further solidifying his reputation as a respected coach and mentor. In 2000, Master Wagner took on the role of Assistant Coach for Team Canada at the World Championships in Ireland, contributing to the team’s success on the global stage. His coaching prowess continued to shine. He led Team Canada at the Pan Am Championships in Argentina and the US Open in 2006, guiding and inspiring the athletes to achieve their best performance.
Master Wagner’s commitment to his growth and the development of future champions is remarkable. In 2010, he earned his 7th dan under the tutelage of Head Grand Master Oh Jang, a testament to his unwavering dedication to honing his skills and deepening his knowledge. Today, he operates Taekwondo schools across Nova Scotia and Canada, impacting countless students indelibly. His commitment to nurturing talent extends beyond his schools, as he conducts nationwide clinics and Black Belt tests. Throughout his career, Master Wagner has been honoured to train and test over 600 Black Belts while coaching more than 90 National medalists, Champions, and Olympic-carded athletes.
